今也予心鬱紆、腹枴目眯、願耶和華矜憫為懷兮、

我遭急難、求主憐恤、我因憂慮、面目衰枯、身心亦復如是、

昔曾承主恩。綽綽有餘裕。何曾將吾身。委為敵人俎。

Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and body with grief.

Lord, have mercy on me. I’m in deep trouble. I’m so sad I can hardly see. My whole body grows weak with sadness.

Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eye is wasted from grief; my soul and my body also.

I am poured out like water, And all My bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It has melted within Me.My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And My tongue clings to My jaws; You have brought Me to the dust of death.

For my soul is full of troubles, And my life draws near to the grave.I am counted with those who go down to the pit; I am like a man who has no strength,Adrift among the dead, Like the slain who lie in the grave, Whom You remember no more, And who are cut off from Your hand.

Still our eyes failed us, Watching vainly for our help; In our watching we watched For a nation that could not save us.

For my days are consumed like smoke, And my bones are burned like a hearth.My heart is stricken and withered like grass, So that I forget to eat my bread.Because of the sound of my groaning My bones cling to my skin.

O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your wrath, Nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure!For Your arrows pierce me deeply, And Your hand presses me down.There is no soundness in my flesh Because of Your anger, Nor any health in my bones Because of my sin.For my iniquities have gone over my head; Like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.My wounds are foul and festering Because of my foolishness.I am troubled, I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.For my loins are full of inflammation, And there is no soundness in my flesh.I am feeble and severely broken; I groan because of the turmoil of my heart.Lord, all my desire is before You; And my sighing is not hidden from You.My heart pants, my strength fails me; As for the light of my eyes, it also has gone from me.

For all day long I have been plagued, And chastened every morning.

Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Bound in affliction and irons—

Which my lips have uttered And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.

For our soul is bowed down to the dust; Our body clings to the ground.

My eye has also grown dim because of sorrow, And all my members are like shadows.

“ Man is also chastened with pain on his bed, And with strong pain in many of his bones,So that his life abhors bread, And his soul succulent food.His flesh wastes away from sight, And his bones stick out which once were not seen.Yes, his soul draws near the Pit, And his life to the executioners.
