耶和華歟、我遭患難、求爾矜憫、因我憂苦、我目就衰、害及我心我身兮、

今也予心鬱紆、腹枴目眯、願耶和華矜憫為懷兮、

我遭急難、求主憐恤、我因憂慮、面目衰枯、身心亦復如是、

昔曾承主恩。綽綽有餘裕。何曾將吾身。委為敵人俎。

Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and body with grief.

Lord, have mercy on me. I’m in deep trouble. I’m so sad I can hardly see. My whole body grows weak with sadness.

LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger! Do not discipline me in your raging fury!Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am frail! Heal me, LORD, for my bones are shaking!

My flesh and my heart may grow weak, but God always protects my heart and gives me stability.

Because of this, our hearts are sick; because of these things, we can hardly see through our tears.

My strength drains away like water; all my bones are dislocated; my heart is like wax; it melts away inside me.The roof of my mouth is as dry as a piece of pottery; my tongue sticks to my gums. You set me in the dust of death.

For my life is filled with troubles and I am ready to enter Sheol.They treat me like those who descend into the grave. I am like a helpless man,adrift among the dead, like corpses lying in the grave, whom you remember no more, and who are cut off from your power.

Our eyes continually failed us as we looked in vain for help. From our watchtowers we watched for a nation that could not rescue us.צ( Tsade)

For my days go up in smoke, and my bones are charred like a fireplace.My heart is parched and withered like grass, for I am unable to eat food.Because of the anxiety that makes me groan, my bones protrude from my skin.

O LORD, do not continue to rebuke me in your anger! Do not continue to punish me in your raging fury!For your arrows pierce me, and your hand presses me down.My whole body is sick because of your judgment; I am deprived of health because of my sin.For my sins overwhelm me; like a heavy load, they are too much for me to bear.My wounds are infected and starting to smell, because of my foolish sins.I am dazed and completely humiliated; all day long I walk around mourning.For I am overcome with shame and my whole body is sick.I am numb with pain and severely battered; I groan loudly because of the anxiety I feel.O Lord, you understand my heart’s desire; my groaning is not hidden from you.My heart beats quickly; my strength leaves me; I can hardly see.

I suffer all day long, and am punished every morning.”

They sat in utter darkness, bound in painful iron chains,

which my lips uttered and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.

For we lie in the dirt, with our bellies pressed to the ground.

My eyes have grown dim with grief; my whole frame is but a shadow.

Or a person is chastened by pain on his bed, and with the continual strife of his bones,so that his life loathes food, and his soul rejects appetizing fare.His flesh wastes away from sight, and his bones, which were not seen, are easily visible.He draws near to the place of corruption, and his life to the messengers of death.
