O LORD, do not let me be humiliated, for I call out to you! May evil men be humiliated! May they go wailing to the grave!

我籲耶和華、毋使予愧恥、使彼惡人懷羞兮、俱歸暗府而無語兮、

主歟、我常呼籲主、求主使我不至蒙羞、使惡人蒙羞、沈淪於示阿勒、示阿勒見六篇五節小註

願爾開慈顏。照護爾微臣。

Let me not be put to shame, Lord, for I have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and be silent in the realm of the dead.

Lord, I have cried out to you. Don’t let me be put to shame. But let sinners be put to shame. Let them lie silent in the place of the dead.

O Lord, let me not be put to shame, for I call upon you; let the wicked be put to shame; let them go silently to Sheol.

Don’t let me be disgraced, O Lord, for I call out to you for help. Let the wicked be disgraced; let them lie silent in the grave.

LORD, do not let me be disgraced when I call on you. Let the wicked be disgraced; let them be quiet in Sheol.

Let me not be put to shame, Lord, for I call upon You; Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.

Do not let me be ashamed, O Lord, for I have called upon You; Let the wicked be ashamed; Let them be silent in the grave.

Let me not be put to shame, O Jehovah; for I have called upon thee: Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.

Lord, do not let me be disgraced when I call on You. Let the wicked be disgraced; let them be silent in Sheol.

Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed,[ and] let them be silent in the grave.

Let me not be disappointed, Yahweh, for I have called on you. Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol.

My God, I trust in you. Please do not let me be humiliated; do not let my enemies triumphantly rejoice over me!Certainly none who rely on you will be humiliated. Those who deal in treachery will be thwarted and humiliated.

The dead do not praise the LORD, nor do any of those who descend into the silence of death.

Look, all who were angry at you will be ashamed and humiliated; your adversaries will be reduced to nothing and perish.When you will look for your opponents, you will not find them; your enemies will be reduced to absolutely nothing.

Let none who rely on you be disgraced because of me, O sovereign LORD and king! Let none who seek you be ashamed because of me, O God of Israel!For I suffer humiliation for your sake and am thoroughly disgraced.

Those who look to him for help are happy; their faces are not ashamed.

May those who are trying to snatch away my life be totally embarrassed and ashamed! May those who want to harm me be turned back and ashamed!May those who say to me,“ Aha! Aha!” be humiliated and disgraced!

But the LORD is with me to help me like an awe-inspiring warrior. Therefore those who persecute me will fail and will not prevail over me. They will be thoroughly disgraced because they did not succeed. Their disgrace will never be forgotten.

All day long my tongue will also tell about your justice, for those who want to harm me will be embarrassed and ashamed.

If the LORD had not helped me, I would have laid down in the silence of death.

He watches over his holy ones, but the wicked are made speechless in the darkness, for it is not by one’s own strength that one prevails.

Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake– some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence.

They will all be ashamed and embarrassed; those who fashion idols will all be humiliated.Israel will be delivered once and for all by the LORD; you will never again be ashamed or humiliated.

And he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But he had nothing to say.Then the king said to his attendants,‘ Tie him up hand and foot and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!’

May those who want to harm me be totally embarrassed and ashamed! May those who arrogantly taunt me be covered with shame and humiliation!

May those who seek my life be embarrassed and humiliated! May those who plan to harm me be turned back and ashamed!

May those who are trying to take my life be embarrassed and ashamed! May those who want to harm me be turned back and ashamed!May those who say,“ Aha! Aha!” be driven back and disgraced!

You will have plenty to eat, and your hunger will be fully satisfied; you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has acted wondrously in your behalf. My people will never again be put to shame.You will be convinced that I am in the midst of Israel. I am the LORD your God; there is no other. My people will never again be put to shame.

May all my enemies be humiliated and absolutely terrified! May they turn back and be suddenly humiliated!

Cover their faces with shame, so they might seek you, O LORD.May they be humiliated and continually terrified! May they die in shame!

I offered my back to those who attacked, my jaws to those who tore out my beard; I did not hide my face from insults and spitting.But the sovereign LORD helps me, so I am not humiliated. For that reason I am steadfastly resolved; I know I will not be put to shame.

In you, O LORD, I have taken shelter! Never let me be humiliated! Vindicate me by rescuing me!

So this is what the sovereign LORD says:“ Look, my servants will eat, but you will be hungry! Look, my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty! Look, my servants will rejoice, but you will be humiliated!Look, my servants will shout for joy as happiness fills their hearts! But you will cry out as sorrow fills your hearts; you will wail because your spirits will be crushed.
