Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.

Let my prayer be set forth before thee[ as] incense;[ and] the lifting up of my hands[ as] the evening sacrifice.

But as for me, I will come[ into] thy house in the multitude of thy mercy:[ and] in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

Lift up your hands[ in] the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

I said unto the LORD, Thou[ art] my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

What prayer and supplication soever be[ made] by any man,[ or] by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven,

Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day,[ even] toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.

Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.

And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that[ was] by the oracle he overlaid with gold.And within the oracle he made two cherubims[ of] olive tree,[ each] ten cubits high.

As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity:[ but] peace[ shall be] upon Israel.

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy[ place, even] under the wings of the cherubims.For the cherubims spread forth[ their] two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy[ place] before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.

I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul[ thirsteth] after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
