The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?

So we can say with confidence,“ The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him!

Each time he said,“ My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

“ No longer will you need the sun to shine by day, nor the moon to give its light by night, for the Lord your God will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.Your sun will never set; your moon will not go down. For the Lord will be your everlasting light. Your days of mourning will come to an end.

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said,“ I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

“ But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.

See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.”

I love you, Lord; you are my strength.The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.

And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light.

You light a lamp for me. The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.He existed in the beginning with God.God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

“ Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you.Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance.

The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.The Lord gives his people strength. He is a safe fortress for his anointed king.

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things!

And they were shouting with a great roar,“ Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”

And there will be no night there— no need for lamps or sun— for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.

The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

Look up to the skies above, and gaze down on the earth below. For the skies will disappear like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a piece of clothing. The people of the earth will die like flies, but my salvation lasts forever. My righteous rule will never end!“ Listen to me, you who know right from wrong, you who cherish my law in your hearts. I am constantly hounded by those who slander me, and many are boldly attacking me.But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?

The people will declare,“ The Lord is the source of all my righteousness and strength.” And all who were angry with him will come to him and be ashamed.

Jesus responded,“ Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.

I have seen your salvation,

And then all people will see the salvation sent from God.’”

Victory comes from you, O Lord. May you bless your people. Interlude

I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me,“ Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!

For you are God, my only safe haven. Why have you tossed me aside? Why must I wander around in grief, oppressed by my enemies?
