Kings will be your guardians, And their princesses your nurses. They will bow down to you with their faces to the ground And lick the dust from your feet; And you will know that I am the Lord; Those who hopefully wait for Me will not be put to shame.

The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

How long am I to feel anxious in my soul, With grief in my heart all the day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death,And my enemy will say,“ I have overcome him,” And my adversaries will rejoice when I am shaken.

How long, Lord, shall the wicked— How long shall the wicked triumph?

‘ For I will protect this city to save it for My own sake, and for My servant David’s sake.’ ”

But now Lord, our God, save us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, Lord, are God.”

O Lord my God, in You I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and rescue me,

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my savior, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Give Your attention to my cry, For I have been brought very low; Rescue me from my persecutors, For they are too strong for me.

For this is contained in Scripture:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a choice stone, a precious cornerstone, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

Be gracious to me, God, for a man has trampled upon me; Fighting all day long he oppresses me.

This is what the king says:‘ Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to save you;and do not let Hezekiah lead you to rely on the Lord, saying,“ The Lord will certainly save us. This city will not be handed over to the king of Assyria!”Do not listen to Hezekiah,’ for this is what the king of Assyria says:‘ Surrender to me and come out to me, and eat, each one, of his vine and each of his fig tree, and each drink of the waters of his own cistern,until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.Beware that Hezekiah does not mislead you, saying,“ The Lord will save us.” Has any one of the gods of the nations saved his land from the hand of the king of Assyria?Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? And when have they saved Samaria from my hand?Who among all the gods of these lands have saved their land from my hand, that the Lord would save Jerusalem from my hand?’ ”

My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Far from my help are the words of my groaning.

“ This is what you shall say to Hezekiah king of Judah:‘ Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you by saying,“ Jerusalem will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.”

Do not let those who are wrongfully my enemies rejoice over me; Nor let those who hate me for no reason wink maliciously.For they do not speak peace, But they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.They opened their mouth wide against me; They said,“ Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen it!”You have seen it, Lord, do not keep silent; Lord, do not be far from me.Stir Yourself, and awake to my right And to my cause, my God and my Lord.Judge me, Lord my God, according to Your righteousness, And do not let them rejoice over me.Do not let them say in their heart,“ Aha, our desire!” Do not let them say,“ We have swallowed him up!”

“ Turn him over to the Lord; let Him save him; Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.”

The Lord helps them and rescues them; He rescues them from the wicked and saves them, Because they take refuge in Him.

You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away, And the storm will scatter them; But you will rejoice in the Lord, You will boast in the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore this is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion, a tested stone, A precious cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. The one who believes in it will not be disturbed.
