他們給我苦膽當食物，又拿醋給我解渴。

我的心砰砰直跳，氣力衰竭，眼睛黯淡無光。

我默然不語、拒絕認罪的時候，就因整日哀歎而身心疲憊。你晝夜管教我，我的精力耗盡，如水在盛夏枯竭。（細拉）

我所領受並傳給你們的最重要的信息是：基督照聖經的記載為我們的罪死了，

你若對牠們棄而不顧，牠們會驚慌失措。你一收回牠們的氣息，牠們便死亡，歸於塵土。

喜樂的心乃是良藥，憂傷的靈使骨枯乾。

權貴都靜默無聲，舌頭緊貼上膛。

耶穌又大喊了一聲，就斷了氣。

許多長眠地下的人必醒過來，有些得到永生，有些蒙受羞辱，永遠被憎惡。

所有生靈將一同滅亡，世人也將歸回塵土。

亞伯拉罕說：「主啊，雖然我渺小如灰塵，但我還要大膽地求問你，

別忘了你用泥土造我，難道要使我復歸塵土？

「耶和華啊，我被毀滅、落入墳墓有何益處？我歸於塵土，還能讚美你、宣揚你的信實嗎？

你必汗流滿面，才有飯吃，一直到你歸回塵土。因為你是塵土造的，也必歸回塵土。」

為何不赦免我的過犯，饒恕我的罪惡？我很快將歸於塵土，你將尋找我，而我已不復存在。」
