玉律豈有瑕。祇守心自怡。聖典何皎潔。悅目驚新奇。

The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.

The law that brings respect for the Lord is pure. It lasts forever. The commands the Lord gives are true. All of them are completely right.

Righteous are You, O Lord, And upright are Your judgments.Your testimonies, which You have commanded, Are righteous and very faithful.

Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good?Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit.Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.

And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day?

“ Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them:

And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the Lord will carry you to a place I do not know; so when I go and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he will kill me. But I your servant have feared the Lord from my youth.

Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O Lord, You preserve man and beast.

Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.He will judge Your people with righteousness, And Your poor with justice.

His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them.

Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O Lord, we have waited for You; The desire of our soul is for Your name And for the remembrance of You.

And Ahab had called Obadiah, who was in charge of his house.( Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly.For so it was, while Jezebel massacred the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah had taken one hundred prophets and hidden them, fifty to a cave, and had fed them with bread and water.)

And He said,“ Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

He will bless those who fear the Lord, Both small and great.

An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes.

For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.”

Then Joseph said to them the third day,“ Do this and live, for I fear God:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.

I have sworn and confirmed That I will keep Your righteous judgments.

But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.

But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people, and took from them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people, but I did not do so, because of the fear of God.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You, Because of Your righteous judgments.

Turn away my reproach which I dread, For Your judgments are good.

And I heard another from the altar saying,“ Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.

I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.

And they said,“ Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you.”

Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

As it is written:“ There is none righteous, no, not one;There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God.They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”“ Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;“ The poison of asps is under their lips”;“ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”“ Their feet are swift to shed blood;Destruction and misery are in their ways;And the way of peace they have not known.”“ There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right, And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.

He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.

They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:“ Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!
