They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place—

Then let the heavens proclaim his justice, for God himself will be the judge. Interlude

Then God said,“ Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years.Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth.” And that is what happened.

The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born.

Praise him, sun and moon! Praise him, all you twinkling stars!Praise him, skies above! Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!

Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heaven!Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness!

The heavens belong to the Lord, but he has given the earth to all humanity.

Say this to those who worship other gods:“ Your so called gods, who did not make the heavens and earth, will vanish from the earth and from under the heavens.”But the Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.

God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.He judges the great people of the world and brings them all to nothing.They hardly get started, barely taking root, when he blows on them and they wither. The wind carries them off like chaff.“ To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One.Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.

Then God said,“ Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.”And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens.God called the space“ sky.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day.
