By your hand save me from such people, Lord, from those of this world whose reward is in this life. May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies; may their children gorge themselves on it, and may there be leftovers for their little ones.

Lord, by your power save me from people like that. They belong to this world. They get their reward in this life. May what you have stored up for evil people fill their bellies. May their children’s stomachs be filled with it. And may there even be leftovers for their little ones.

from men by your hand, O Lord, from men of the world whose portion is in this life. You fill their womb with treasure; they are satisfied with children, and they leave their abundance to their infants.

By the power of your hand, O Lord, destroy those who look to this world for their reward. But satisfy the hunger of your treasured ones. May their children have plenty, leaving an inheritance for their descendants.

亞伯拉罕曰、子當憶、生前受諸福、拉撒路受諸難、今彼慰、而爾苦焉、

乃自謂曰、我有多物、積為歷年之用、此心可安然飲食喜樂也、上帝曰、無知者乎、今夜將索爾魂、則所備者誰歸、凡積財於己、而上帝前不富有者、亦如是、○

爾從世、世人必以為其類而愛之、爾不從世、我乃選爾出乎世、故世人惡爾、

我以爾道授彼、世人惡之、因其不從世、如我不從世、

子孫雖蕃、或遭戮、或乏食、或遇疫癘而死、嫠婦不泣、雖藏金若泥沙、積衣若邱陵、而衣適為義人之衣、金適為善人之金、

皆耶和華使之然、此理誰不知之乎、

各人所為、無非捉影、諠譟徒勞兮、積累財貨、不知孰得兮。

為惡之人、得保生命、而享遐齡、席豐履厚、子孫享福、猶及見之、其家平康、無所畏懼、上帝不降以災、其牛方字、而胎不殰、產犢而保其生。嬰孩成群、子女舞蹈、播鼗鼓琴、蕭管悅耳、其在世也、為樂靡涯、其逝世也、患疾不久、其平日對上帝曰、我不悅爾道、勿親我、孰為全能之主、事之何為、求之何益。

小子乎、爾由上帝出、與爾心交者、較與世心交者尤大、故爾能勝之、彼從世俗、故所言者世事、世人聽焉、

曰、若是、求祖遣拉撒路、往我父家、我有兄弟五人、使彼示之、免至此受苦、

若生命既絕、家庭之事、已不及知矣。

寇賊之家、反獲平康、欲以己之能匹上帝、干上帝怒、竟享逸樂。

爾處世、樂宴樂、縱淫佚、以快心志、猶牲牷肥腯、以待宰割、

索之若金、尋之若寶、

我觀惡人、反居顯要、不禁生艷羨之心兮、彼雖沒齒、困苦不及、身力健壯、不與他人同艱苦、不與眾生共災害兮、故彼厥志驕肆、厥心剛愎、如懸金索、如衣麗服兮、容貌肥腴、所得逾於所望兮、

天國、猶寶藏於田、人遇之、則秘焉、喜而歸、售所有、以市斯田、○

為惡之人、作事恆得亨通、財貨偏能殷富兮、
