蓋爾不遺我魂於陰府、不容爾之聖者腐朽兮、

以爾不遺我魂於陰府、不俾爾之恭人朽於黃土、

主必不將我靈魂遺棄於示阿勒、示阿勒見六篇五節小註主必不使敬主虔誠人朽壞、

所望保吾魂。莫使淪幽冥。更望聖者身。免染朽腐痕。

because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.

You will not leave me in the place of the dead. You will not let your faithful one rot away.

For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.

For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.

because you will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.You made known to me the ways of life. You will make me full of gladness with your presence.’“ Brothers, I may tell you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,he foreseeing this spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul wasn’t left in Hades, and his flesh didn’t see decay.

Therefore he says also in another psalm,‘ You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.’For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, was laid with his fathers, and saw decay.But he whom God raised up saw no decay.Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins,

But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. Selah.

and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

Sheol from beneath has moved for you to meet you at your coming. It stirs up the departed spirits for you, even all the rulers of the earth. It has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.

In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.

They are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol. What can you know?

Therefore Sheol has enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it.

The angel answered her,“ The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of God.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown perishable; it is raised imperishable.

For a fire is kindled in my anger, that burns to the lowest Sheol, devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire.

Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied; and a man’s eyes are never satisfied.

If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there!

“ Seventy weeks are decreed on your people and on your holy city, to finish disobedience, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.

Though they dig into Sheol, there my hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, there I will bring them down.

“‘ All the days that he separates himself to Yahweh he shall not go near a dead body.

“‘ You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am Yahweh.

Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can’t inherit God’s Kingdom; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable.Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen:“ Death is swallowed up in victory.”“ Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?”

Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh— how much more then the hearts of the children of men!

But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.

saying,“ Ah! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”

The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God.
