靜候主好音。長夜豈無曙。一心惟盼主。指我當行路。

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

In the morning let me hear about your faithful love, because I’ve put my trust in you. Show me the way I should live, because I trust you with my life.

Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.

God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed. From the very break of day, God will protect it.

Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say,“ This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me.

But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.

O Lord, I give my life to you.I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.

But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.

The Lord says,“ I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.

Give me happiness, O Lord, for I give myself to you.

You made me; you created me. Now give me the sense to follow your commands.

Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven and say,

Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow.

Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart.

Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.”

This left Jacob all alone in the camp, and a man came and wrestled with him until the dawn began to break.When the man saw that he would not win the match, he touched Jacob’s hip and wrenched it out of its socket.Then the man said,“ Let me go, for the dawn is breaking!” But Jacob said,“ I will not let you go unless you bless me.”“ What is your name?” the man asked. He replied,“ Jacob.”“ Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him.“ From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”“ Please tell me your name,” Jacob said.“ Why do you want to know my name?” the man replied. Then he blessed Jacob there.
