使我心不偏向讒言、不與作惡者同行惡事、亦不嘗其美食、

莫使私欲萌。閑邪存我誠。教我遠群小。不屑嘗其珍。

Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers; do not let me eat their delicacies.

Don’t let my heart be drawn to what is evil. Don’t let me join with people who do evil. Don’t let me eat their fancy food.

Do not let my heart incline to any evil, to busy myself with wicked deeds in company with men who work iniquity, and let me not eat of their delicacies!

Don’t let me drift toward evil or take part in acts of wickedness. Don’t let me share in the delicacies of those who do wrong.

耶和華啊，你為什麼使我們離開你的道路迷失，使我們的心剛硬不敬畏你呢？為你的僕人們、你繼業各支派的緣故，求你回轉吧！

「所以主說：你們要從他們中間出來，要被分別出來；不要碰不潔淨的東西，我就接納你們」，

你們不要被迷惑了！「結交惡友，敗壞善德。」

求你使我的心傾向你的法度，而不向著私利。

因此，你們無論或吃、或喝、或做什麼，一切都要為神的榮耀而做。

接著，我聽見另一個聲音從天上傳來，說：「我的子民哪，你們要從她那裡出來，免得在她的罪孽上有份，也免得遭受她所受的災害，

不要讓我們陷入試探，救我們脫離那惡者。因為國度、權柄、榮耀，全是你的，直到永遠！阿們。

王從自己的美食和所飲用的酒中，給他們指定了每天的份額，要他們受教養三年；三年結束後，他們將在王面前侍立。他們中有猶大子孫的但以理、哈納尼雅、米沙利和亞撒利雅。太監總管給了他們新的名字，稱但以理為伯提沙撒，哈納尼雅為沙德拉克，米沙利為米沙克，亞撒利雅為亞伯尼哥。但以理決心不讓王的美食和王所飲用的酒玷汙自己；於是請求太監總管允許他不因這些玷汙自己。

人受誘惑的時候，不可說：「我被神誘惑」，因為神是不能被邪惡誘惑的，神也不誘惑任何人。

當你與管轄者一起坐席吃飯的時候，要小心留意你面對的是什麼。如果你是個貪食的人，就當把刀放在自己的喉嚨上；不要貪戀他的美食，因為那食物是圈套。

接著有聲音對他說：「彼得，起來，宰了吃！」彼得卻說：「主啊，千萬不可！因為我從來沒有吃過任何俗物和不潔淨的東西。」

你不要吃吝嗇人的餅，也不要貪戀他的美食；因為他是那種心裡算計的人；雖然他對你說「吃吧，喝吧」，但他的心卻不與你在一起。你所吃的那點食物，必吐出來；你那些恭維的話，也都白費了。

如果有不信的人請你們吃飯，而你們也願意去，那麼，凡是擺在你們面前的都可以吃，不要為了良心的緣故而問什麼。但如果有人對你們說：「這是祭過偶像的食物」，那麼，為了那指明這事的人和良心的緣故，你們就不要吃——
