The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; But the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.

because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four- footed beasts, and creeping things.Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves:for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Ye offspring of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be?

that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And scoffers delight them in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?

For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings:

The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul; But it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil.

They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.

Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with bruised grain, Yet will not his foolishness depart from him.

Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this worthless fellow, even Nabal; for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I thy handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.

Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evil- doers, children that deal corruptly! they have forsaken Jehovah, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are estranged and gone backward.

But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

How much less one that is abominable and corrupt, A man that drinketh iniquity like water!

And thou sayest, What doth God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?

For I was envious at the arrogant, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

They prate, they speak arrogantly: All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.They break in pieces thy people, O Jehovah, And afflict thy heritage.They slay the widow and the sojourner, And murder the fatherless.And they say, Jehovah will not see, Neither will the God of Jacob consider.Consider, ye brutish among the people; And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, That his iniquity will not be found out and be hated.The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: He hath ceased to be wise and to do good.He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.

Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God endureth continually.Thy tongue deviseth very wickedness, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.Thou lovest evil more than good, And lying rather than to speak righteousness.[ SelahThou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.God will likewise destroy thee for ever; He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, And root thee out of the land of the living.[ SelahThe righteous also shall see it, and fear, And shall laugh at him, saying,
