He chose instead the tribe of Judah, and Mount Zion, which he loved.There he built his sanctuary as high as the heavens, as solid and enduring as the earth.

He loves the city of Jerusalem more than any other city in Israel.

How great is the Lord, how deserving of praise, in the city of our God, which sits on his holy mountain!It is high and magnificent; the whole earth rejoices to see it! Mount Zion, the holy mountain, is the city of the great King!God himself is in Jerusalem’s towers, revealing himself as its defender.

God is honored in Judah; his name is great in Israel.Jerusalem is where he lives; Mount Zion is his home.
