耶和华我的神啊，求你看顾我，应允我！使我眼目光明，免得我沉睡至死；

不見吾主兮。中心悒悒。黯然銷魂兮。將至何日。敵人高壓兮。何時得息。

Lord my God, look at me and answer me. Give me new life, or I will die.

Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,

Turn and answer me, O Lord my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die.

Consider me and answer, LORD my God. Restore brightness to my eyes; otherwise, I will sleep in death.

Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death,

Consider and hear me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Consider and answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Consider me and answer, Lord my God. Restore brightness to my eyes; otherwise, I will sleep in death.

Consider[ and] hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the[ sleep of] death;

Look at me! Answer me, O LORD my God! Revive me, or else I will die!

Behold, and answer me, Yahweh, my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death;

“ But now, for a brief moment, the Lord our God has been gracious in leaving us a remnant and giving us a firm place in his sanctuary, and so our God gives light to our eyes and a little relief in our bondage.

But while they are aroused, I will set out a feast for them and make them drunk, so that they shout with laughter— then sleep forever and not awake,” declares the Lord.

But Jonathan had not heard that his father had bound the people with the oath, so he reached out the end of the staff that was in his hand and dipped it into the honeycomb. He raised his hand to his mouth, and his eyes brightened.

Lord, see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death,

See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me!

Jonathan said,“ My father has made trouble for the country. See how my eyes brightened when I tasted a little of this honey.

I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.
