I am exhausted from crying for help; my throat is parched. My eyes are swollen with weeping, waiting for my God to help me.

My eyes strain to see your rescue, to see the truth of your promise fulfilled.

O Lord, come back to us! How long will you delay? Take pity on your servants!Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.Give us gladness in proportion to our former misery! Replace the evil years with good.

Send me a sign of your favor. Then those who hate me will be put to shame, for you, O Lord, help and comfort me.

I said,“ Never again will I see the Lord God while still in the land of the living. Never again will I see my friends or be with those who live in this world.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.

You will watch as your sons and daughters are taken away as slaves. Your heart will break for them, but you won’t be able to help them.

I have cried until the tears no longer come; my heart is broken. My spirit is poured out in agony as I see the desperate plight of my people. Little children and tiny babies are fainting and dying in the streets.
