I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.

I serve you, so help me to understand what is right. Then I will understand your covenant laws.

O Lord, I surely am Your slave, I am Your slave, the son of Your female slave, You have unfastened my restraints.

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.

Give me understanding, so that I may comply with Your Law And keep it with all my heart.

I am Yours, save me; For I have sought Your precepts.

But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Remove the false way from me, And graciously grant me Your Law.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

I have treasured Your word in my heart, So that I may not sin against You.

Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

Open my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Your Law.I am a stranger on the earth; Do not hide Your commandments from me.

In that night God appeared to Solomon and said to him,“ Ask what I shall give you.”And Solomon said to God,“ You have dealt with my father David with great faithfulness, and have made me king in his place.Now, Lord God, Your promise to my father David is fulfilled, for You have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.Now give me wisdom and knowledge, so that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can rule this great people of Yours?”

The wisdom of the sensible is to understand his way, But the foolishness of fools is deceit.

Not that we are adequate in ourselves so as to consider anything as having come from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God,who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Turn to me, and be gracious to me; Grant Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your maidservant.

Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments.
