I praise you, O Lord; teach me your decrees.

“ O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city— the city that bears your name— lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy.

Come and show me your mercy, as you do for all who love your name.

Now let your unfailing love comfort me, just as you promised me, your servant.Surround me with your tender mercies so I may live, for your instructions are my delight.

I told you my plans, and you answered. Now teach me your decrees.

O Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is unfailing love. His redemption overflows.

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.For the glory of your name, O Lord, preserve my life. He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins.

Lord, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive?But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you.

You sent your good Spirit to instruct them, and you did not stop giving them manna from heaven or water for their thirst.

Lord, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me.
