故望爾等在時機未熟之前、勿遽下評斷；務須靜候主之來臨。屆時、彼必燭幽揚隱、揭曉人心之思慮；而人人必得公允之褒獎矣。

莫忘幼承慈訓、素諳經籍。凡經籍所載、莫非令人醒悟、信仰基督耶穌、以自求多福耳。全部聖經、皆天主之所默啟、有益於人、其所以覺世牖民、警惡勸善、導人於正者、亦云備矣。是在天主之徒奮發自勵、孳孳為善、以臻才德全備之地耳。

然此乃所以鍛鍊爾之信德、而於耶穌基督顯現之日、玉成爾之光榮及天爵耳。夫黃金乃必朽之物、尚且以火煉之；而信德固貴於黃金也。

蓋目前所受之區區苦痛、所以為吾人作成無量之榮福也。

凡浣滌其袍、得近生命樹、而進聖邑之門者、福矣！
