In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain;

In the LORD I have taken shelter. How can you say to me,“ Flee to a mountain like a bird!

In Yahweh, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul,“ Flee as a bird to your mountain”?

David stayed in the wilderness in the strongholds, and remained in the hill country in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul searched for him every day, but God did not hand him over to him.

Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim an immense army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the Lord, He handed them over to you.

Then Jonathan called after the boy,“ Hurry, be quick, do not stay!” And Jonathan’s boy picked up the arrow and came to his master.

My God, in You I trust, Do not let me be ashamed; Do not let my enemies rejoice over me.

Then David set out and fled that day from Saul, and went to Achish king of Gath.But the servants of Achish said to him,“ Is this not David, the king of the land? Did they not sing of this one as they danced, saying,‘ Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands’?”David took these words to heart and greatly feared Achish king of Gath.

And David went from there to Mizpah of Moab; and he said to the king of Moab,“ Please let my father and my mother come and stay with you until I know what God will do for me.”

Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said,“ Lord, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; help us, Lord our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name have come against this multitude. Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You.”

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.

O Lord my God, in You I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and rescue me,
