He loved to curse others, so those curses have come upon him. He had no desire to bless anyone, so he has experienced no blessings.He made cursing a way of life, so curses poured into his stomach like water and seeped into his bones like oil.May a curse attach itself to him, like a garment one puts on, or a belt one wears continually!

Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake– some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence.

As for the heads of those who surround me– may the harm done by their lips overwhelm them!

May all my enemies be humiliated and absolutely terrified! May they turn back and be suddenly humiliated!

When my enemies see this, they will be covered with shame. They say to me,“ Where is the LORD your God?” I will gloat over them. Then they will be trampled down like mud in the streets.

But the LORD is with me to help me like an awe-inspiring warrior. Therefore those who persecute me will fail and will not prevail over me. They will be thoroughly disgraced because they did not succeed. Their disgrace will never be forgotten.
