May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord; may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.

May the Lord remember the evil things their fathers have done. May he never erase the sins of their mothers.

May the Lord never forget the sins of his fathers; may his mother’s sins never be erased from the record.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God[ am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth[ generation] of them that hate me;

Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay[ me]: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal[ thus] with them in the time of thine anger.

And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked[ thee] to anger before the builders.

Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who[ are] ye? And they answered, We[ are] the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.And he said, Take them alive. And they took them alive, and slew them at the pit of the shearing house,[ even] two and forty men; neither left he any of them.

Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered,[ It is] for Saul, and for[ his] bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell[ all] seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first[ days], in the beginning of barley harvest.

And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly.Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction.

Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father’s house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread.

I,[ even] I,[ am] he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as[ did] the house of Ahab: for he[ was] the son in law of the house of Ahab.

But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw[ this], he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot.[ And they did so] at the going up to Gur, which[ is] by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

And when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal.
