Your right hand, O Lord, glorious in power, your right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy.

to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.

And as midday passed, they raved on until the time of the offering of the oblation, but there was no voice. No one answered; no one paid attention.

Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me!Take hold of shield and buckler and rise for my help!Draw the spear and javelin against my pursuers! Say to my soul,“ I am your salvation!”

Bow your heavens, O Lord, and come down! Touch the mountains so that they smoke!Flash forth the lightning and scatter them; send out your arrows and rout them!Stretch out your hand from on high; rescue me and deliver me from the many waters, from the hand of foreigners,

and behold, a voice from heaven said,“ This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

O God, save me by your name, and vindicate me by your might.

and sent a message by Nathan the prophet. So he called his name Jedidiah, because of the Lord.

Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said,“ This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”

Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.
