I cried out to you, O Lord. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying,“ What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness?Hear me, Lord, and have mercy on me. Help me, O Lord.”You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!

Then I called on the name of the Lord:“ Please, Lord, save me!”How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours!The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me.Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me.He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
