When our ancestors were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles; they did not remember your many kindnesses, and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea.

他們不追念他手的能力，和他救贖他們脫離敵人的日子；

要記得你在埃及地作過奴僕，耶和華－你的上帝救贖了你。為此，我今日將這事吩咐你。

「因為他們是缺乏智謀的國家，他們裏面毫無聰明。惟願他們有智慧，能明白這事，他們就會想到自己的結局。

並且在那沉淪的人身上行各樣不義的詭詐，因為他們不領受愛真理的心，好讓他們得救。故此，上帝就給他們一個引發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，使一切不信真理、倒喜愛不義的人都被定罪。

他雖使人憂愁，還要照他豐盛的慈愛施憐憫；

他們既無知，又不思想；因為耶和華蒙蔽他們的眼，使他們看不見，塞住他們的心，使他們不明白。

但耶和華到今日還沒有使你們心能明白，眼能看見，耳能聽見。

我要照耶和華一切所賜給我們的，並他憑憐憫與豐盛的慈愛所賜給以色列家的大恩，述說他的慈愛和美德。

要他們看了又看，卻看不清，聽了又聽，卻不明白，免得他們回轉過來，獲得赦免。」

為了他們，他記念自己的約，照他豐盛的慈愛改變心意，

又忘記他的作為和他所彰顯的奇事。

他僕人亞伯拉罕的後裔，他所揀選雅各的子孫哪，要記念他奇妙的作為和他的奇事，並他口中的判語。

至於我，我必憑你豐盛的慈愛進入你的居所，我要存敬畏你的心向你的聖殿下拜。

上帝啊，求你按你的慈愛恩待我！按你豐盛的憐憫塗去我的過犯！

所以，你們要記得：從前你們按肉體是外邦人，是「沒受割禮的」；這名字是那些憑人手在肉身上「受割禮的人」所取的。

耶穌知道了，就說：「你們為甚麼因為沒有餅就議論呢？你們還不領悟，還不明白嗎？你們的心還是愚頑嗎？你們有眼睛，看不見嗎？有耳朵，聽不到嗎？也不記得嗎？我擘開那五個餅分給五千人，你們收拾的碎屑裝滿了多少個籃子呢？」他們說：「十二個。」「又擘開那七個餅分給四千人，你們收拾的碎屑裝滿了多少個筐子呢？」他們說：「七個。」耶穌說：「你們還不明白嗎？」

「你們無知的人喜愛無知，傲慢人喜歡傲慢，愚昧人恨惡知識，要到幾時呢？
