歷年既久、埃及王薨、以色列族因服役良苦、太息號呼、聲聞於上帝。

耶和華曰、爾當知爾苗裔必旅於異邦、服役良苦、歷四百年。

耶和華諭摩西曰、汝歸時、我命爾所行之異跡、爾必行於法老前、法老不釋我民、剛愎厥心、我姑聽之。

時我上帝耶和華聽希實本王西宏剛愎厥心、不容我過其地、為我所敗、以今日之事為證。
