你为了牲畜使青草滋生，为了人的需用使蔬菜生长，使粮食从地里生出；

生草萊以飼六畜、備菜蔬以供人需、俾穀產於地兮、

主令百草萌櫱、六畜囓之、菜蔬叢生、世人食之、咸地所產兮、

主使草生以養六畜、使菜長以備人需、

離離芳草。飼彼六畜。青青新蔬。酬人勞作。俾我芸芸。取食地腹。

He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth:

至于地，粮食从它而出，地底下却好像被火翻转过来一样。

他以密云遮盖天空，为大地预备雨水，使群山长满青草。他把食物赐给走兽，也赐给啼叫的小乌鸦。

所有活着的动物都可以作你们的食物，我把这一切都赐给你们，好像我把青菜赐给了你们一样。

他把粮食赐给全人类，因为他的慈爱永远长存。

地要给你长出荆棘和蒺藜来；你也要吃田间的蔬菜；

田野的走兽啊，你们不要惧怕，因为旷野的草场又发青了，树木又结果子了，无花果树和葡萄树也都效力了。

神说：“地上要长出青草、结种子的蔬菜和结果子的树木，各从其类，在地上的果子都包着核！”事就这样成了。于是，地上长出了青草和结种子的蔬菜，各从其类；又长出结果子的树木，各从其类，果子都包着核。神看这是好的。

神说：“看哪！我把全地上结种子的各样蔬菜，和一切果树上有种子的果子，都赐给你们作食物。至于地上的各种野兽，空中的各种飞鸟，和地上爬行有生命的各种活物，我把一切青草蔬菜赐给它们作食物。”事就这样成了。

万人的眼睛都仰望你，你按时把粮食赐给他们。你把手张开，使所有生物都随愿得到饱足。

甚至母鹿在田野生产了小鹿，也得把它丢弃，因为没有青草。野驴站在光秃的高冈上，像野狗喘着气；它们双目发呆，因为没有青草。”

使荒废之地得着滋润，使青草在干旱之地得以长起来呢？

耶和华神使各样的树从地上长起来，能悦人的眼目，也好作食物。园子中间又有生命树，和知善恶树。

所以，栽种的算不得什么，浇灌的也算不得什么，只在乎那使它生长的神。

亚哈对俄巴底说：“你走遍这地，到所有的水泉和溪水那里去看看，也许我们可以找到青草，使骡马能够生存，免得牲畜灭绝。”

原野上还没有树木，田间的蔬菜还没有长起来，因为耶和华神还没有降雨在地上，也没有人耕种土地；

你种地，地也不再给你效力；你必在地上流离失所。”
