Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.

Then Micaiah continued,“ Listen to what the Lord says! I saw the Lord sitting on his throne with all the armies of heaven around him, on his right and on his left.

The winds are your messengers; flames of fire are your servants.

“ Neither one,” he replied.“ I am the commander of the Lord’s army.” At this, Joshua fell with his face to the ground in reverence.“ I am at your command,” Joshua said.“ What do you want your servant to do?”

Therefore, angels are only servants— spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

When Jacob saw them, he exclaimed,“ This is God’s camp!” So he named the place Mahanaim.

“ You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you.

Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others— the armies of heaven— praising God and saying,

Surrounded by unnumbered thousands of chariots, the Lord came from Mount Sinai into his sanctuary.

And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world— from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.

I watched as thrones were put in place and the Ancient One sat down to judge. His clothing was as white as snow, his hair like purest wool. He sat on a fiery throne with wheels of blazing fire,and a river of fire was pouring out, flowing from his presence. Millions of angels ministered to him; many millions stood to attend him. Then the court began its session, and the books were opened.

Then Micaiah continued,“ Listen to what the Lord says! I saw the Lord sitting on his throne with all the armies of heaven around him, on his right and on his left.

I, John, am the one who heard and saw all these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me.But he said,“ No, don’t worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this book. Worship only God!”

And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said,“ Let all of God’s angels worship him.”Regarding the angels, he says,“ He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire.”

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will remove from his Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.

The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born.

And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come with his mighty angels,in flaming fire, bringing judgment on those who don’t know God and on those who refuse to obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus.
