即現有天地、亦何嘗非憑天主之言而維持、以待不肖之徒受判被戮之日、而付諸一炬乎？惟以主視之、一日猶如千秋、千秋猶如一日。凡我良朋、不可不明此理。主之踐諾、人以為遲、實則不遲。主之寬忍、正為吾人之故、欲使血氣之倫、皆能悔過自新、而無一人遭受淪喪也。雖然、主日之臨、必突如其來、有若不速之客焉。當時諸天訇然而逝、物質之元素、溶解於烈火之中。大地及所載之萬彙、悉皆焚化。既知天地萬物終歸消滅、則爾等應如何孳孳為善、翼翼事主、以速主日之臨、蓋正惟諸天焚化、物質消溶、

日暮景翳翳。吾生復幾時。主若不反顧。將隨秋草萎。
