天地將要消亡，你卻繼續存留；天地都要像衣服那樣漸漸破舊，你把它們像衣袍那樣更換，它們就消逝了；

天地都要灭没，你却要长存；天地都要如外衣渐渐旧了。你要将天地如里衣更换，天地就都改变了。

我主立地基。親手設天幕。

你們要向天舉目，要俯視大地；因為諸天必像煙雲一樣消散，大地必像衣服那樣漸漸破舊，其上的居民必如蚊蟲死去；但我的救恩必存到永遠，我的公義也不衰殘。

天和地將要消逝，但是我的話絕不會消逝。

天上的萬象都要衰亡，天如同書卷要被捲起來；其中的萬象都要凋零，如葡萄樹的葉子凋零，又如無花果樹的葉子凋零。

接著，我看見一個白色的大寶座和坐在它上面的那一位。地和天都從他面前逃避，連它們的地方也找不到了。

因為被造之物屈從在虛妄之下，並不是出於自願，而是出於使它屈從的那一位；

接著，我看見一個新天新地，因為先前的天和先前的地都已經過去了，海也不再存在了。

耶和華宣告：「我所造的新天新地怎樣在我面前長存，你們的後裔和你們的名字也怎樣長存。」

「看哪！我要創造一個新天新地，先前的事不再被記念，也不再被想起；

天和地將要消逝，但是我的話絕不會消逝。

但現在的天和地，藉著他的話語得以存留，一直留到不敬神的人受審判和滅亡的日子，被火焚燒。可是，各位蒙愛的人哪，你們不可忽略這一點：在主看來，一日如千年，千年如一日。主沒有像有些人認為的那樣，拖延所應許的；相反，他對你們恆久忍耐，不願任何人滅亡，而願所有人都來悔改。不過，主的日子要來臨，就像賊來臨那樣。在那日，諸天要轟然一聲地消逝，天體將被火焚燒而廢除，地和地上的作為也都將被暴露出來。既然這一切都要如此被廢除，那麼，你們應該做什麼樣的人呢？應該行為聖潔、敬畏神，等候並催促神的日子來臨。因為在那日，諸天將被焚燒而廢除，天體要被火焚燒而熔化。

唯有你，耶和華啊，永遠坐著為王，你的名號存到萬代！
