屈身蹲踞、煢獨隕於其強暴兮、

遭糜爛、被陷害、弱制於強兮、

屈身蹲伏、以俟困苦人陷其強暴之計、

驅無辜兮入網。

His victims are crushed, they collapse; they fall under his strength.

Those they have attacked are beaten up. They fall to the ground. They fall because their attackers are too strong for them.

The helpless are crushed, sink down, and fall by his might.

Their helpless victims are crushed; they fall beneath the strength of the wicked.

So he is oppressed and beaten down; helpless people fall because of the wicked one’s strength.

Then he crushes the needy one, who cowers; And unfortunate people fall by his mighty power.

He croucheth, he boweth down, And the helpless fall by his strong ones.

So he is oppressed and beaten down; the helpless fall because of his strength.

He croucheth,[ and] humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

His victims are crushed and beaten down; they are trapped in his sturdy nets.

The helpless are crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength.

And Saul said,“ Blessed are you of the Lord, for you have compassion on me.Please go and find out for sure, and see the place where his hideout is, and who has seen him there. For I am told he is very crafty.

And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left in your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and say,“ Please, put me in one of the priestly positions, that I may eat a piece of bread.”’”

So Saul said,“ I will give her to him, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” Therefore Saul said to David a second time,“ You shall be my son-in-law today.”And Saul commanded his servants,“ Communicate with David secretly, and say,‘ Look, the king has delight in you, and all his servants love you. Now therefore, become the king’s son-in-law.’”So Saul’s servants spoke those words in the hearing of David. And David said,“ Does it seem to you a light thing to be a king’s son-in-law, seeing I am a poor and lightly esteemed man?”And the servants of Saul told him, saying,“ In this manner David spoke.”Then Saul said,“ Thus you shall say to David:‘ The king does not desire any dowry but one hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to take vengeance on the king’s enemies.’” But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.So when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to become the king’s son-in-law. Now the days had not expired;

And so it was, whenever anyone came near to bow down to him, that he would put out his hand and take him and kiss him.
