我儿，要留心我智慧的话语，侧耳听我聪明的言词，

我儿啊，要留心听我的智慧，侧耳听我的聪明，

孩子啊，要留心听我的智言，侧耳听我的慧语，

我儿，要留心听我的智慧，侧耳听我的哲理，

我兒，要留心我智慧的話語，側耳聽我聰明的言詞，

我兒啊，要留心聽我的智慧，側耳聽我的聰明，

孩子啊，要留心聽我的智言，側耳聽我的慧語，

我兒，要留心聽我的智慧，側耳聽我的哲理，

弟子啊，要留心於我的智慧，要傾耳聽我的哲言；

我兒啊，你要留心聽我的智慧，側耳聽我聰慧的話語，

我子、注意我之智慧、傾聽我之明哲、

爾小子、宜聽我訓、傾耳聆教。

My son, pay attention to my wisdom, turn your ear to my words of insight,

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,

Listen, sons, to a father’s discipline, and pay attention so that you may gain understanding,
