Murderers hate honest people. They try to kill those who do what is right.

Bloodthirsty men hate one who is blameless and seek the life of the upright.

The bloodthirsty hate blameless people, but the upright seek to help them.

Bloodthirsty men hate an honest person, but the upright care about him.

People of bloodshed hate the blameless person, But the upright are concerned for his life.

The bloodthirsty hate the blameless, But the upright seek his well-being.

The bloodthirsty hate him that is perfect; And as for the upright, they seek his life.

but he didn’t respect Cain and his offering. Cain was very angry, and the expression on his face fell.Yahweh said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?If you do well, won’t it be lifted up? If you don’t do well, sin crouches at the door. The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Yahweh, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” Jehoshaphat said,“ Don’t let the king say so.”

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Yahweh; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil. He is Micaiah the son of Imla.” Jehoshaphat said,“ Don’t let the king say so.”

Why should he take your life, that all the Jews who are gathered to you should be scattered, and the remnant of Judah perish?”But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah,“ You shall not do this thing; for you speak falsely of Ishmael.”

Don’t let the king impute anything to his servant, nor to all the house of my father; for your servant knows nothing of all this, less or more.”The king said,“ You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you, and all your father’s house.”The king said to the guard who stood about him,“ Turn, and kill the priests of Yahweh; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew that he fled, and didn’t disclose it to me.” But the servants of the king wouldn’t put out their hand to fall on the priests of Yahweh.The king said to Doeg,“ Turn and attack the priests!” Doeg the Edomite turned, and he attacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty- five people who wore a linen ephod.He struck Nob, the city of the priests, with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and nursing babies, and cattle and donkeys and sheep, with the edge of the sword.One of the sons of Ahimelech, the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.Abiathar told David that Saul had slain Yahweh’s priests.David said to Abiathar,“ I knew on that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul. I am responsible for the death of all the persons of your father’s house.Stay with me. Don’t be afraid, for he who seeks my life seeks your life. For you will be safe with me.”

Should evil be recompensed for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them, to turn away your wrath from them.

She went out, and said to her mother,“ What shall I ask?” She said,“ The head of John the Baptizer.”She came in immediately with haste to the king, and asked,“ I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths, and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring John’s head, and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.

For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, you will not be established, nor will your kingdom. Therefore now send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die!”Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said to him,“ Why should he be put to death? What has he done?”Saul cast his spear at him to strike him. By this Jonathan knew that his father was determined to put David to death.
