铁磨铁，磨出刃来；朋友相感也是如此。

Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works,

Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart; so does earnest counsel from a man’s friend.

Behold, you have instructed many, you have strengthened the weak hands.Your words have supported him who was falling, You have made firm the feeble knees.

Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose, and went to David into the woods, and strengthened his hand in God.

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

Strengthen the weak hands, and make the feeble knees firm.Tell those who have a fearful heart,“ Be strong! Don’t be afraid! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, God’s retribution. He will come and save you.

Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy.

He said,“ If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the children of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will come and help you.Be courageous, and let’s be strong for our people, and for the cities of our God; and may Yahweh do what seems good to him.”

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations,

Therefore don’t be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but endure hardship for the Good News according to the power of God,

For this cause I also suffer these things. Yet I am not ashamed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.

in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.This saying is trustworthy:“ For if we died with him, we will also live with him.If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can’t deny himself.”

that no one would be moved by these afflictions. For you know that we are appointed to this task.
