Be not among winebibbers, Among gluttonous eaters of flesh:

好饮酒的，好吃肉的，不要与他们来往；

不可与好饮酒的人在一起，也不要跟贪吃肉的人来往，

不要结交酒肉朋友，

酗酒的人，不可与他们来往；暴食的人，不要与他们为友。

你不要成为酗酒之徒，也不要与贪吃肉的人为伍；

好飲酒的，好吃肉的，不要與他們來往；

Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat,

Do not spend time among drunkards, among those who eat too much meat,

Don’t be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat:

And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;

Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink;

Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy.

But take heed to yourselves, lest haply your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you suddenly as a snare:

Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that tarry late into the night, till wine inflame them!

Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler; And whosoever erreth thereby is not wise.

Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son; But he that is a companion of gluttons shameth his father.

and shall begin to beat his fellow- servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken;

For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

and, behold, joy and gladness, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine: Let us eat and drink, for to- morrow we shall die.

Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously every day:

Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? Who hath complaining? who hath wounds without cause? Who hath redness of eyes?They that tarry long at the wine; They that go to seek out mixed wine.Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, When it sparkleth in the cup, When it goeth down smoothly:At the last it biteth like a serpent, And stingeth like an adder.Thine eyes shall behold strange things, And thy heart shall utter perverse things.Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, Or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not hurt; They have beaten me, and I felt it not: When shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.

Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, And wine unto the bitter in soul:Let him drink, and forget his poverty, And remember his misery no more.

And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country; and there he wasted his substance with riotous living.
