The heart of the discerning gets knowledge. The ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.

But God will shoot at them. They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow.Their own tongues shall ruin them. All who see them will shake their heads.All mankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done.

Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and died. Great fear came on all who heard these things.

A man who disregards Moses’ law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses.How much worse punishment do you think he will be judged worthy of who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

In that day there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

All Israel that were around them fled at their cry; for they said,“ Lest the earth swallow us up!”
