The wicked crave evil; their neighbors get no mercy from them.

Sinful people long to do evil. They don’t show their neighbors any mercy.

Evil people desire evil; their neighbors get no mercy from them.

A wicked person desires evil; he has no consideration for his neighbor.

For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts,covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness.

He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himself in a way that is not good. He doesn’t abhor evil.

Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies.You have lived in luxury on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.You have condemned and you have murdered the righteous one. He doesn’t resist you.

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against Yahweh, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked plans to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.But the noble devises noble things; and he will continue in noble things.

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let the young men find favor in your eyes; for we come on a good day. For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.

Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he will also cry out, but shall not be heard.

Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don’t they come from your pleasures that war in your members?You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain,“ The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously”?

The wicked desires the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.

It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment.

He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.

Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.You love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking the truth. Selah.
