Whoever winks his eyes plans dishonest things; he who purses his lips brings evil to pass.

With narrowed eyes, people plot evil; with a smirk, they plan their mischief.

The one who narrows his eyes is planning deceptions; the one who compresses his lips brings about evil.

He who winks his eyes does so to devise perverse things; He who compresses his lips brings evil to pass.

彼拉多說：“為甚麼呢？他作了甚麼惡事呢？”眾人更加大聲喊叫：“把他釘十字架！”彼拉多見無濟於事，反會引起騷動，就拿水在群眾面前洗手，說：“流這人的血，與我無關，你們自己負責吧。”群眾回答：“流他的血的責任，歸在我們和我們子孫的身上吧。”於是彼拉多給他們釋放了巴拉巴；他把耶穌鞭打了，就交給他們釘十字架。

就起誓答應她，無論求甚麼都給她。她在母親的慫恿之下，說：“請把施洗的約翰的頭放在盤子上給我。”

無賴之徒挖出邪惡，他口裡的話好像灼熱的火。

他們雙手善於作惡，官長和審判官都要求報酬；達官貴人說出心裡的慾望；他們歪曲了一切。

無賴漢、壞人到處使用欺詐的口；他以眼傳神，用腳示意，用指頭指點，心存乖謬，圖謀惡事，常常散布紛爭。

因為這人民的心思遲鈍，用不靈的耳朵去聽，又閉上了眼睛；免得自己眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，我就醫好他們。’

凡作惡的都恨光，不來接近光，免得他的惡行暴露出來。

以眼傳神的，使人受害；嘴唇愚妄的，必自招滅亡。
