The Lord detests the thoughts of the wicked, but gracious words are pure in his sight.

惡人的意念，為耶和華所憎惡；恩慈的言語，卻是純淨的。

惡謀為耶和華所惡、良言純潔可愛、

惡念彼所深誅、良言彼所甚喜。

惡念主所厭惡、良言主視為潔、

The Lord hates the thoughts of sinful people. But he considers kind words to be pure.

The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord, but gracious words are pure.

The Lord detests evil plans, but he delights in pure words.

The LORD detests the plans of the one who is evil, but pleasant words are pure.

Evil plans are an abomination to the Lord, But pleasant words are pure.

The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord, But the words of the pure are pleasant.

Evil devices are an abomination to Jehovah; But pleasant words are pure.

The Lord detests the plans of an evil man, but pleasant words are pure.

The LORD abhors the plans of the wicked, but pleasant words are pure.

Yahweh detests the thoughts of the wicked, but the thoughts of the pure are pleasing.

There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him:haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil,a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

The schemes of folly are sin, and people detest a mocker.

Jerusalem, wash the evil from your heart and be saved. How long will you harbor wicked thoughts?

My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!

The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just.The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip.

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

For out of the heart come evil thoughts— murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
