The Lord tears down the house of the proud, but he sets the widow’s boundary stones in place.

Do not move an ancient boundary stone, or take over the fields of the fatherless,

The wicked are overthrown and perish, but the righteous household will stand.

The household of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish.

He is a father to the fatherless and an advocate for widows. God rules from his holy palace.God settles those who have been deserted in their own homes; he frees prisoners and grants them prosperity. But sinful rebels live in the desert.

For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God who is unbiased and takes no bribe,who justly treats the orphan and widow, and who loves resident foreigners, giving them food and clothing.

Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their misfortune and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Indeed, the LORD who commands armies has planned a day of judgment, for all the high and mighty, for all who are proud– they will be humiliated;

Yet God will make you a permanent heap of ruins. He will scoop you up and remove you from your home; he will uproot you from the land of the living.( Selah)

You must not encroach on your neighbor’s property, which will have been defined in the inheritance you will obtain in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

In the same way, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

Though the LORD is exalted, he takes note of the lowly, and recognizes the proud from far away.

And when his mind became arrogant and his spirit filled with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and his honor was removed from him.

Scatter abroad the abundance of your anger. Look at every proud man and bring him low;Look at every proud man and abase him; crush the wicked on the spot!Hide them in the dust together, imprison them in the grave.

Why do you boast about your evil plans, O powerful man? God’s loyal love protects me all day long!
