The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.

Those who make fun of others look for wisdom and don’t find it. But knowledge comes easily to those who understand what is right.

A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain, but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding.

曰、天國之奧、予爾知之、不予他人也、蓋有者將予之使有餘、無者並其所有、亦將奪之、

爾中若有缺於智者、當求上帝、彼博施於眾、不責乎人、必賜之焉、

達者用智於其前、蠢人游目於地極、

耶穌又曰、父乎、天地主也、我讚爾、以此事、於智者達者則隱之、於赤子則顯之、父乎然也、此乃爾所悅者也、萬有由父賜我、父之外無識子者、子及子所欲示者之外、無識父者、

通達者以為明晰、有識者以為正直、

首焉者、宜知季世將有戲謔者出而戲謔、從己慾而行、謂降臨之許安在、自列祖寢時、萬物與初創無異、彼甘忘太古以上帝命而有諸天及地自水而出、以水而結、

勿自欺、爾中或於斯世自以為智者、則當為愚以成智、蓋斯世之智、於上帝為愚、記有之、主令智者自中其詭計、

智者愧恥、驚惶而被執、彼既棄耶和華之言、其智維何、

啟我之目、俾見爾律之妙兮、

蠢者不欲明哲、惟願彰其心意、

爾之誡命、長久偕我、使我智於敵兮、我之明哲、越於諸師、以我思爾法度兮、我所通達、越於耆老、以我守爾訓詞兮、

夫身之燈、目也、目瞭則全身光、目眊則全身暗、爾衷之光若暗、其暗大哉、

顧彼既知上帝、而不以上帝榮之、亦不謝之、乃思議虛妄、心蠢而昧、自稱為智、適成為愚、以不朽上帝之榮、而易以必朽之人、及禽獸昆蟲之狀、○故上帝任其心之嗜慾、陷於不潔、致互辱其身、彼以上帝之真、易之以偽、寧崇奉受造之物、不崇奉造物之主、夫上帝乃世世當頌者、阿們、○是以上帝任其可恥之慾、婦女以順性之用、變為逆性之用、男子亦然、棄婦女順性之用、嗜慾互爍、男與男行邪僻、自受謬妄當得之報、○彼知識中既不願有上帝、上帝遂任其喪心、行非宜之行、

若人自以為知則所當知者、尚未知也、

惟以色列人趨義之律而不及、此何故耶、曰不由於信、而由於行、乃蹶於躓人之石、

爾見自視為智者乎、蠢者之望、較彼猶大、

宜循法律與證詞、若不依此而言、則不見晨光、
