A king delights in a wise servant, but a shameful servant arouses his fury.

A king is pleased with a wise servant. But a servant who is full of shame stirs up the king’s anger.

A servant who deals wisely has the king’s favor, but his wrath falls on one who acts shamefully.

A king rejoices in wise servants but is angry with those who disgrace him.

“ Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household slaves, to give them their food at the proper time?Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions.But if that evil slave says in his heart,‘ My master is not coming for a long time,’and he begins to beat his fellow slaves, and he eats and drinks with those habitually drunk;then the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know,and he will cut him in two and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

One who loves purity of heart And whose speech is gracious, the king is his friend.

A king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion, But his favor is like dew on the grass.A foolish son is destruction to his father, And the quarrels of a wife are a constant dripping.

And the Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time?Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions.But if that slave says in his heart,‘ My master will take a long time to come,’ and he begins to beat the other slaves, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk;then the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know, and will cut him in two, and assign him a place with the unbelievers.And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accordance with his will, will receive many blows,but the one who did not know it, and committed acts deserving of a beating, will receive only a few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.

If a ruler pays attention to falsehood, All his ministers become wicked.

Take away the wicked before the king, And his throne will be established in righteousness.

His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’

He who gathers in summer is a son who acts wisely, But he who sleeps in harvest is a son who acts shamefully.

A king who sits on the throne of justice Disperses all evil with his eyes.
