The wicked is thrust down by his own wrongdoing, But the righteous has a refuge when he dies.

When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous seek refuge in God.

When trouble comes, sinners are brought down. But godly people seek safety in God even as they die.

The wicked is overthrown through his evildoing, but the righteous finds refuge in his death.

The wicked are crushed by disaster, but the godly have a refuge when they die.

The wicked one is thrown down by his own sin, but the righteous one has a refuge in his death.

The wicked is banished in his wickedness, But the righteous has a refuge in his death.

The wicked is thrust down in his evil- doing; But the righteous hath a refuge in his death.

The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

The wicked will be thrown down in his trouble, but the righteous have refuge even in the threat of death.

but we are of good courage and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

For Your salvation I wait, Lord.

Indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,

Yet as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last, He will take His stand on the earth.Even after my skin is destroyed, Yet from my flesh I will see God,Whom I, on my part, shall behold for myself, And whom my eyes will see, and not another. My heart faints within me!

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying,“ Write:‘ Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!’ ”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.”

Observe the blameless person, and look at the upright; For the person of peace will have a future.

Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him.

For a righteous person falls seven times and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of disaster.

Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?”The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law;but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

He is driven from light into darkness, And chased from the inhabited world.

This is the interpretation of the message:‘ Menē’— God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it.‘ Tekēl’— you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient.‘ Perēs’— your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”Then Belshazzar gave orders, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a necklace of gold around his neck, and issued a proclamation concerning him that he now had authority as the third ruler in the kingdom.That same night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed.

Then He said again to them,“ I am going away, and you will look for Me, and will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come.”

What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with great patience objects of wrath prepared for destruction?

Terrors overtake him like a flood; A storm steals him away in the night.The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; For it sweeps him away from his place.For it will hurl at him without mercy; He will certainly try to flee from its power.

Therefore his disaster will come suddenly; Instantly he will be broken and there will be no healing.

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins.”

You will make known to me the way of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

“ Now, Lord, You are letting Your bond servant depart in peace, According to Your word;

While they are saying,“ Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction will come upon them like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake.

But I am hard pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;

Before your pots can feel the fire of thorns He will sweep them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.
