欺压贫寒的，是辱没造他的主；怜悯穷乏的，乃是尊敬主。

欺压贫寒人的，是蔑视造他的主；怜悯贫穷人的，是尊敬主。

欺压贫寒人的，是蔑视造他的主；怜悯贫穷人的，是尊敬主。

欺压穷人等于侮辱造物主，怜悯贫弱就是尊敬造物主。

Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.

Anyone who crushes poor people makes fun of their Maker. But anyone who is kind to those in need honors God.

Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.

Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him.

The one who oppresses the poor person insults his Maker, but one who is kind to the needy honors him.

He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, But he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.

He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker; But he that hath mercy on the needy honoreth him.

“ If I have rejected the claim of my male or female slaves When they filed a complaint against me,What then could I do when God arises? And when He calls me to account, how am I to answer Him?Did He who made me in the womb not make him, And the same one create us in the womb?“ If I have kept the poor from their desire, Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,

If you see oppression of the poor and denial of justice and righteousness in the province, do not be shocked at the sight; for one official watches over another official, and there are higher officials over them.

One who despises his neighbor sins, But one who is gracious to the poor is blessed.

For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.”

But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?Little children, let’s not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will set our heart at ease before Him,that if our heart condemns us, that God is greater than our heart, and He knows all things.Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;

“ Because of the devastation of the poor, because of the groaning of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord;“ I will put him in the safety for which he longs.”

But just as you excel in everything, in faith, speaking, knowledge, and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you also excel in this gracious work.I am not saying this as a command, but as proving, through the earnestness of others, the sincerity of your love as well.For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.

Do not rob the poor because he is poor, Nor crush the needy at the gate;For the Lord will plead their case And take the life of those who rob them.

And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’“ Then He will also say to those on His left,‘ Depart from Me, you accursed people, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’Then they themselves also will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or as a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’Then He will answer them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for Me, either.’These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
