我如能言諸國方言、與天使之言、而無仁、則猶鳴金敲鈸、雖能先知、探奧、識理、且篤信得以移山、而無仁、則無益、雖罄所有以濟貧、舍身自焚、而無仁、則無益、仁、寛忍、慈愛、不妒、不誇、不衒、不妄行、不為己、不暴怒、不逆詐、不喜非義、乃喜真理、隱惡、信善、望人之美、忍己之難、惟仁無隕、但言未來事之能將廢、言諸國方言之才將止、知識亦廢、吾今知識未全、先知未全、其全者得、未全者廢、素為赤子、則所言如赤子、意見亦如赤子、成人、則赤子事廢矣、今我人昏然如隔琉璃、後所觀乃親晤對、今所知未全、後必深知、如主知我焉、所存於今者、信也、望也、仁也、三者之中、仁為大、

會中之婦亦當嚴正、勿興謠諑、謹事而信、

義人之道正直、主秉公義、使善人得履坦途。

遂遣其徒、同希律黨、就之云、先生、我知爾乃真者、以誠傳上帝道、不偏視人、不以貌取人者也、

所行結善果、在民間有令聞焉。

亦為諸王暨上位者求、俾我儕虔敬端莊、綏安無事、以畢一生、

有司不令善人畏、使惡人畏、爾欲不畏居位者、惟行善、可得其褒、

當循其大公、則可得生、獲爾上帝耶和華所錫之地、

時未至、勿擬議人、待主臨日、將照諸幽隱、發諸心謀、人人褒貶於上帝、

我遣兄弟與提多偕往、乃素在諸會中傳福音之有令聞者、

今而後、兄弟當以主為悅、我不憚以此書遺爾、使爾安固、

隱為猶太人、則誠猶太人、心受割禮、則誠受割、蓋在內心、不在虛文、其令聞非由人、乃由上帝、

是當強固、腰束以誠、胸護以義、

老婦如母、少女如妹、惟潔是宜、

理以齊家、嚴以教子、

曰、百夫長哥尼流、義人也、畏上帝、為猶太舉國所稱、奉聖天使默示、請爾至其家、欲爾言是聽、

彼舍己贖我、免乎諸惡、潔諸選民、熱中為善、以適主用、

衡量法度、執其公平、為耶和華所悅、反是必為其所疾。

蓋希律知約翰義且聖、有聞頻行、欣然聽受、尊而護之、

有名亞拿尼亞者、守法敬虔、為同邑猶太人所稱、

吹氣若蘭、洵可愛也。耶路撒冷女乎、我之夫子若此。

我知彼必囑其子、及眷屬、令守我道、秉公行義、如是則我所許者、可踐其言。

耶穌曰、爾在人前以義自稱、爾之心、上帝知之、蓋人所崇者、上帝所惡也、

有人名約瑟、議士也、為人仁義、

耶路撒冷有名西面者、其人義且敬、素仰慕夫慰藉以色列民者、聖神臨之、

或榮、或辱、或惡名、或令聞、似偽而真、

掃羅及約拿單、生存之日、相愛相悅、雖至死亡、亦弗離逖。彼二人者疾於鷹、猛於獅。

我女毋懼、舉邑皆知汝乃淑女、我心從爾所欲。

淑女為夫榮、若首加冕、惡女為夫辱、若骨已朽。

兄弟宜於爾中、擇有眾望、感聖神、具智慧者、七人、來司此事、

故當去偽、人人言真、因吾眾相為手足、

世之娶妻而賢者甚多、惟此婦為冠。

孰得賢妻、價貴琅玕。

有言感於聖神者、良朋勿信、當試之其真由上帝出否、蓋在世多偽先知云、

吾以此後書、達爾良朋、使爾善心奮發、

古人若此、而得嘉許、

由己言者、求榮己、惟求榮遣之者為真、心無不義也、

謂爾曹聽訟、行私袒惡、將至何時兮、

耶和華制權量法度、無不至公。
