他本有神的形像，不以自己与神同等为强夺的；

他本有上帝的形像，却不坚持自己与上帝同等；

他本有神的形像，却不坚持自己与神同等；

祂虽然本质上是上帝，却没有紧紧抓住自己与上帝平等的地位不放，

他本来有神的形象，却不坚持自己与神平等的地位，

虽然他就是神本体的存在，却不把与神同等看做是一件要强抓不放的事，

他本有神的形像，不以自己與神同等為強奪的；

他本有上帝的形像，卻不堅持自己與上帝同等；

他本有神的形像，卻不堅持自己與神同等；

祂雖然本質上是上帝，卻沒有緊緊抓住自己與上帝平等的地位不放，

他本來有神的形象，卻不堅持自己與神平等的地位，

他形質上本是屬神的，卻不以自己與上帝平等為應當把持不捨的，

雖然他就是神本體的存在，卻不把與神同等看做是一件要強抓不放的事，

彼原有上帝之狀、不以匹上帝自居、

彼具體上帝、即匹上帝、不為僭、

彼具天主之體、即配天主不以為僭、

夫彼神也、與天主等齊而不居焉、

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

In his very nature he was God. Jesus was equal with God. But Jesus didn’t take advantage of that fact.

who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,

Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.

who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited.

who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped,

who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage.

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

who though he existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

For this cause therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.

He said to me,“ I have become the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life.

I and the Father are one.”

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The Jews answered him,“ We don’t stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy: because you, being a man, make yourself God.”

For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Jesus said to them,“ Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM.”Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through the middle of them, and so passed by.

When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man stood in front of him with his sword drawn in his hand. Joshua went to him and said to him,“ Are you for us, or for our enemies?”He said,“ No; but I have come now as commander of Yahweh’s army.” Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshiped, and asked him,“ What does my lord say to his servant?”The prince of Yahweh’s army said to Joshua,“ Take off your sandals, for the place on which you stand is holy.” Joshua did so.

Thomas answered him,“ My Lord and my God!”

When he again brings in the firstborn into the world he says,“ Let all the angels of God worship him.”

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God.

“ Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall give birth to a son. They shall call his name Immanuel;” which is, being interpreted,“ God with us.”

In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his manhood he contended with God.Indeed, he struggled with the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication to him. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with us,even Yahweh, the God of Armies; Yahweh is his name of renown!

But of the Son he says,“ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.

Then I saw, and behold, a likeness as the appearance of fire; from the appearance of his waist and downward, fire; and from his waist and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as it were glowing metal.He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and the sky, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the gate of the inner court that looks toward the north; where there was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy.Behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the appearance that I saw in the plain.Then he said to me,“ Son of man, lift up your eyes now the way toward the north.” So I lifted up my eyes the way toward the north, and saw, northward of the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what they do? Even the great abominations that the house of Israel commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? But you will again see yet other great abominations.”

that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who doesn’t honor the Son doesn’t honor the Father who sent him.

No one has seen God at any time. The one and only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.

In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely. This is his name by which he will be called: Yahweh our righteousness.

It will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through. It will reach even to the neck. The stretching out of its wings will fill the width of your land, Immanuel.

Jesus said to him,“ Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say,‘ Show us the Father?’

“ Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says Yahweh of Armies.“ Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

He blessed Joseph, and said,“ The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me all my life long to this day,the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads, and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. Let them grow into a multitude upon the earth.”

You heard how I told you,‘ I go away, and I come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I said‘ I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Jacob was left alone, and wrestled with a man there until the breaking of the day.When he saw that he didn’t prevail against him, the man touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was strained as he wrestled.The man said,“ Let me go, for the day breaks.” Jacob said,“ I won’t let you go unless you bless me.”He said to him,“ What is your name?” He said,“ Jacob”.He said,“ Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have fought with God and with men, and have prevailed.”Jacob asked him,“ Please tell me your name.” He said,“ Why is it that you ask what my name is?” He blessed him there.Jacob called the name of the place Peniel; for he said,“ I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”
