as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

You will shine as you hold on tight to the word of life. Then I will be able to boast about you on the day Christ returns. I can be happy that I didn’t run or work for nothing.

天主歟、我自幼蒙主訓誨、以至於今我宣揚主之奇跡、

爾當取悅於天主、為無愧之工、善頒真道、惟當棄妄論虛詞、因此使不虔之事愈增、彼眾之言、如毒瘡漸散於身、其中有若許米乃、腓理徒、

我再至爾處、爾因基督所有之樂、爾因基督所有之樂或作爾因基督而誇者可藉我而增、○惟爾行事、當與基督福音相稱、則我或來見爾、或在遠方、聞爾之事、可知爾曹一心堅立、同一志為福音之道而戰、戰或作協力

我告爾、凡認我於人前者、人子亦將認彼於天主使者前、

我遵默示而上、以我在異邦所傳之福音告彼、惟私語其中有名之人、免我前所行、與後所將行者、歸於徒勞、

故我不能忍、復遣人欲知爾之信、恐試者惑爾、而我儕之勞徒然、

蓋天主之言、活潑有力、較兩刃之劍尤利、神氣與骨髓、無不剖入、心之意念、無不鑒察、

蓋我儕所望所喜所誇之冕何哉、豈非爾曹於我主耶穌基督降臨時、得立於其前乎、

我在大會中宣揚主之公義、不絕於口、主歟、此乃主所知者、

兄弟乎、亞伯拉罕之苗裔、及爾曹中畏天主者、此救世之道、賜與爾矣、

我為爾懼、恐我為爾徒勞矣、○
