as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

You will shine as you hold on tight to the word of life. Then I will be able to boast about you on the day Christ returns. I can be happy that I didn’t run or work for nothing.

宜殷勤獻己於上帝、蒙其嘉納、為無愧之傭、善佈真道、惟遠不經之虛談、因若人將益進於不虔、其言如瘡瘀而蔓延、有若許米乃腓理徒、

俾爾緣基督耶穌而誇者、因我而溢、以我復與爾同在也、惟爾處世、須合乎基督之福音、使我或就爾、或離爾、得聞爾事、即爾堅立於一心一志、為福音之道而戰、

我又語汝、凡於人前認我者、人子於上帝使者前、亦必認之、

乃依啟示而往、且以我在異邦所宣之福音告之、惟私陳於有令聞者、免我前後所行為徒然也、

緣此、我不能復忍、遣人欲知爾信、恐為試者所惑、而我徒勞、

蓋上帝之道活潑靈通、利於兩刃之劍、能剖刺魂與靈、節與髓、亦立辨人之心思意志也、

夫我所望所樂所誇之冕何耶、非爾於我主耶穌臨時、而在其前乎、

我於大會中、宣公義之嘉音、必不緘口、爾耶和華所知兮、

兄弟乎、亞伯拉罕之裔、及爾中畏上帝者、此救世之道、宣至我儕矣、

我為爾懼、恐我為爾徒勞矣、○
