Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.

and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your murmurings against the LORD. As for us, what are we, that you should murmur against us?”Moses said,“ You will know this when the LORD gives you meat to eat in the evening and bread in the morning to satisfy you, because the LORD has heard your murmurings that you are murmuring against him. You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, and evil, slanderous talk.Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.

They grumbled in their tents; they did not obey the LORD.

If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people.

When Paul and Barnabas had a major argument and debate with them, the church appointed Paul and Barnabas and some others from among them to go up to meet with the apostles and elders in Jerusalem about this point of disagreement.

Now in those days, when the disciples were growing in number, a complaint arose on the part of the Greek- speaking Jews against the native Hebraic Jews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food.

Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened ox where there is hatred.A quick-tempered person stirs up dissension, but one who is slow to anger calms a quarrel.

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, being jealous of one another.

Now receive the one who is weak in the faith, and do not have disputes over differing opinions.

For human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.

However, if you continually bite and devour one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another.

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth.Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, natural, demonic.For where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.And the fruit that consists of righteousness is planted in peace among those who make peace.Where do the conflicts and where do the quarrels among you come from? Is it not from this, from your passions that battle inside you?

And he must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.

They had a sharp disagreement, so that they parted company. Barnabas took along Mark and sailed away to Cyprus,

After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them,“ Brothers, you know that some time ago God chose me to preach to the Gentiles so they would hear the message of the gospel and believe.

Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness, for without it no one will see the Lord.

These people are grumblers and fault- finders who go wherever their desires lead them, and they give bombastic speeches, enchanting folks for their own gain.

for you are still influenced by the flesh. For since there is still jealousy and dissension among you, are you not influenced by the flesh and behaving like unregenerate people?For whenever someone says,“ I am with Paul,” or“ I am with Apollos,” are you not merely human?What is Apollos, really? Or what is Paul? Servants through whom you came to believe, and each of us in the ministry the Lord gave us.

See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to agree together, to end your divisions, and to be united by the same mind and purpose.For members of Chloe’s household have made it clear to me, my brothers and sisters, that there are quarrels among you.Now I mean this, that each of you is saying,“ I am with Paul,” or“ I am with Apollos,” or“ I am with Cephas,” or“ I am with Christ.”

When they received it, they began to complain against the landowner,

For I am afraid that somehow when I come I will not find you what I wish, and you will find me not what you wish. I am afraid that somehow there may be quarreling, jealousy, intense anger, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorder.

With pride comes only contention, but wisdom is with the well-advised.

and to esteem them most highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

If someone spreads false teachings and does not agree with sound words( that is, those of our Lord Jesus Christ) and with the teaching that accords with godliness,he is conceited and understands nothing, but has an unhealthy interest in controversies and verbal disputes. This gives rise to envy, dissension, slanders, evil suspicions,and constant bickering by people corrupted in their minds and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a way of making a profit.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them!
